About

Origins & Culture

A Brief History

In 1999, our original office could be found in a large sunroom with full glass on three walls that overlooked a grassy meadow. Nice, huh? Founded at that time by two friends who enjoyed designing websites, it was the idea of doing something you enjoyed for a living and having control over how the business was run that kick started the whole thing.

We love what we do and are committed to producing awesome work for our clients. We relish each new project as another opportunity to scratch that continuous creative itch.

Over the last decade, we have grown our capabilities to
encompass a multitude of creative services, steadily
expanding offerings to meet our client's needs.

Thinking

It's All About Relationships

Relationships sustain, in business and in life: relationships with clients, customers, partners, people, family, friends. We believe in genuine, long-lasting, collaborative client relationships and that working together achieves the goals at hand.

Yours goals, of course, but ours as well.

Enjoy What You Do

We strongly believe that work should be enjoyable, and that it can be without sacrificing quality, efficiency or the goals to be achieved. In fact, enjoying ones work leads to exceptional results.

Barton Mitchell

Formerly educated as an engineer, my hidden creative eventually regained control and has now been running rampant for over a decade. As one of the two original founders, and now the sole principal, I currently handle all projects start to finish. I thoroughly enjoy the creative aspects of the work and look forward to each new project and relationship.

Prior to founding tin shed creative, I spent 5 years as a supply chain consultant with Deloitte Consulting, specializing in transportation and technology solutions for clients such as Sears, CVS, and Honeywell. In 1999, I also co-founded an online team management service and resource portal for tennis players that now serves over 40,000 users from around the country.

I am a Georgia Tech grad and live in Marietta, GA with my wife and two daughters. Outside of my creative work, addictions include mountain biking, photography and bookstores.
